The new Conditions of
Participation scheduled for implementation on January 1, 2018 have added new
home health aide training requirements. Under section 484.80 home health
aides are now required to complete education on recognizing and reporting
changes in skin condition. All current home health aides must complete
the training by January 1st, and ongoing aides must complete the
training as part of their 12 hour in-service requirements.
